Creating your account

Before you start

You need an email address you can open right away and a phone number we can reach you on. Creating an account commits you to nothing; it only opens your private room, where the application lives.

Steps

1. On the website, choose Sign up (top right) or Create an account.
2. Enter your full name as it appears on your passport, your email address, your phone number, and a password of at least 10 characters. A short sentence you will remember works best; passwords seen in known data breaches are refused.
3. Tick the box to accept the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. You can open both from the links first.
4. Choose Create account. We email you a six-digit code.
5. Type the code on the same screen, or tap the button in the email. The code expires after one hour; Send a new code issues another one.
6. On the welcome screen, check your name and phone and choose Open my room.

If you already have an account

You will see the same "check your email" screen but no code arrives. Choose Log in instead, or Forgot your password if you cannot remember it. This is deliberate: the screen never reveals which email addresses have accounts.

Signing up with Google

When "Sign up with Google" is shown, you can create your account with your Google sign-in instead of a password. You still accept the Terms and Privacy Policy first, and you still confirm your phone number on the welcome screen.
